About Tightfit Stables
Tightfit Stables is a family owned boarding, training, and lesson barn located in Baxter, Tennessee. The Tennessee Tech Equestrian Team has been practicing at Tightfit Stables since 2000. It is home to roughly 30 horses, many of whom are used by the team or owner by team members.

Tightfit Stables is owned and operated by the Huddleston family. Rebecca Huddleston is the head instructor, trainer, and coach of the Tennessee Tech University Equestrian Team. Rebecca majored in Animal Science at Tennessee Tech University and competed on their equestrian team throughout college. She is now CHA Certified Riding Instructor a works with riders in a variety of disciplines. Rebecca is very active within the horse community, she serves as the National Secretary of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, and holds numerous horse show judging cards.

Boarding
Tightfit Stables offers full care stall board, pasture board, and overnight stabling. Boarding is limited, if you are looking to bring a horse to college with you please contact us as soon as possible to reserve your spot!

Full Care Stall Board - Includes a stall with daily cleaning, daily turnout, AM & PM feedings, one blanket change daily, and facility use. Hay is included, grain is additional. $400/month*.​

Pasture Board - Includes paddock with 24/7 access to round bale or grass, AM & PM feedings, and facility use. Hay is included, grain is additional. Limited availability on a case by case basis. $250/month*.

Overnight Board - Includes a stall or small private turnout. $30/night*.

Lessons
Tightfit Stables offers private and group lessons for students ages 5 & up. Tightfit Stables teaches Western and Hunt Seat riding with emphasis on horsemanship and equitation. Our lessons are taught by owner and head instructor Rebecca Huddleston or assistant instructor Mackenzie Garner. Students can choose to ride their own horse or one of the lesson horses. Group lessons may include up to five students. An initial private lesson may be required to evaluate rider skill level and ensure proper group placement. Our instructors try their best to group riders based on abilities. A helmet and boots are required for all mounted lessons.

Lessons are taught on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
